Quikr is C2C. We're certified.
Quikr is a classifieds platform — the seller is the previous owner, the inspection is whatever you negotiate, and there is no warranty by default. Gadget Rebirth is at the other end of the spectrum: every device passes through professional inspection, ships with a warranty, and is sold by us, not by an unverified third party. The two answer fundamentally different needs.
| Dimension | Gadget Rebirth | Quikr |
|---|---|---|
| Seller Fundamentally different model. |
Gadget Rebirth (single-party) | Original owner / classifieds seller |
| Inspection Quikr is C2C; inspection is the buyer's responsibility. |
41-point inspection at our Hyderabad facility | None by default; buyer arranges if at all |
| Warranty We back every device directly; manufacturer warranty has usually expired on Quikr listings. |
Flat 15-day in-house warranty, single source | None typically |
| Return policy Major difference. |
7 days, no-questions-asked, free pickup | None; final sale once you collect |
| Activation Lock / FRP risk The single most common scam in the classifieds market. |
Verified cleared on every device | Buyer's responsibility to verify before payment |
| IMEI / blacklist check Stolen-phone risk is concrete; our checks are documented. |
CEIR + GSMA verified pre-listing | Buyer's responsibility |
| Battery health No third-party verification on Quikr. |
Exact % on Certification Card | Whatever the seller claims; rarely measured |
| Price You pay more on Gadget Rebirth — for inspection, warranty, returns, and provenance. |
5-15% premium over Quikr for same-spec device | Lowest price floor; private sale dynamics |
| Counterfeit / cloned device risk Reported across consumer-protection forums. |
Zero — verified at inspection | Real risk; no platform-level filter |
Choose Gadget Rebirth if: Anyone who wants a refurbished phone with a warranty, inspection record, and return option — i.e. anyone treating it as a real purchase decision.
Choose Quikr if: Buyers prepared to inspect the device themselves at handover, accept zero warranty / returns, and absorb the risk of Activation Lock or stolen-IMEI surprises in exchange for the lowest possible price.
Quikr serves a real market — buyers who want the absolute lowest price and accept the trade-offs. We're not in that market. If you want a refurbished phone treated like a product (with QC, warranty, and recourse), Quikr isn't the answer; we are. If you want the cheapest-possible second-hand phone and don't mind the homework, Quikr is honest about what it is.
Marginally — Quikr verifies seller identity to a basic degree, but does not inspect the device or warrant the transaction. The risk profile is closer to direct C2C than to refurbished retail. Most consumer-protection complaints in the category come from this segment.
On Quikr you pay for the device. On Gadget Rebirth you pay for the device + inspection + warranty + return guarantee + provenance verification. The premium is roughly 10-20% depending on the model. If those four things don't matter to you, Quikr is fine. If they do, we're cheaper than the alternative (a Quikr device that needed repair or turned out to be Activation Locked).
