## Mission

Make great electronics affordable and keep them out of landfills. Every
refurbished sale displaces a new-manufacture device, which has a carbon

## Pricing approach

List prices are calibrated approximately 5% under Cashify retail across
all condition grades for like-for-like devices. Apple iPhones carry a
small residual-value premium reflecting real-world refurb-market
behaviour; Android brands depreciate faster in the first 18-24 months
and our pricing tracks that depreciation curve.

The basePrice on each variant is the "as-listed" cost. The strike-through
compareAtPrice is the original MSRP at launch — useful for showing total
savings vs new but never used as a deceptive anchor (we never inflate
the original MSRP).

We do not haggle. List prices are tight enough that there's no margin
for per-customer negotiation. The published "Today's Deal" rotation, the
WELCOME1K first-order code, and the referral program are the real
discounts; everyone gets them.

## Inspection — the 41-point process

Every device entering inventory goes through a documented 41-point
inspection sheet covering hardware, software, cosmetics, and
provenance. The sheet is printed and shipped with the device as a
"Certification Card" so the customer can verify what was tested.

The 41 points include:

**Battery** — capacity vs original (must be 85%+ for Like New / Excellent /
Good grades; iPhones at Like New must be 95%+); cycle count where the
manufacturer exposes it; charging speed; runtime test under controlled
load; battery health serial-number match (proves no aftermarket cell).

**Display** — pixel test (white, black, RGB, gradient); brightness uniformity;
touch responsiveness across the surface; True Tone / colour calibration;
ProMotion refresh rate verification; ambient-light sensor; OLED burn-in
inspection under stress patterns.

**Cameras** — every lens tested at every zoom level, in low light, in HDR,
under flash; OIS / EIS verification; focus pixels / phase detection
working; depth sensor + LiDAR (if present); flash + Live Photos; Night
mode + Cinematic mode (where supported).

**Connectivity** — all WiFi bands; all 4G LTE bands India uses; 5G n78 / n41

Approximately 50-65% below MRP.

We do not currently sell "Brand New" stock. Every device on Gadget Rebirth
is certified pre-owned by definition.

## Warranty

In-house warranty is 15 days as standard on every device, regardless of
grade. Honoured at our Hyderabad facility (Kondapur). Optional paid
extensions to 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or 12 months are available at
checkout — buyers only pay for the cover they want. Coverage (applies to
both standard and extended windows):

- Manufacturing defects (display burn-in within window, battery degrading
  below grade threshold, camera or speaker failure under normal use)
- Hardware failures during normal operation
- Charging port issues not caused by physical damage

Exclusions: physical damage from drops, water ingress (we do not implicitly
warrant water resistance on refurbished devices), unauthorised
third-party repairs, software issues that resolve with a clean install.

Claim process: WhatsApp the order ID + a 30-second video of the issue.
We confirm coverage within 4 business hours, send a free pickup courier,
diagnose at the Hyderabad facility (Kondapur), and either repair or replace from
buffer stock within 5-7 business days.

Optional accidental-damage protection (ADP) can be added at checkout for
~5% of device value. Covers one drop or accidental water exposure within
the warranty window.

## Returns

7 days from delivery, no-questions-asked. Return shipping is free on most
serviceable pin codes — the courier picks the device up from your address
within 24-48 hours of return initiation.

The device must be returned with all original accessories (cable, adapter
where included, certification card, sealed-state SIM tools where shipped)
to qualify for a full refund. Refunds land within 5 business days of
inbound device inspection.

## Delivery

Same-day delivery: Hyderabad (where our warehouse is). Order before noon
IST to qualify.

Next-day delivery: Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune,
Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Noida.

1-3 day delivery: Tier-1 cities (Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore, Coimbatore,
Kochi, Visakhapatnam, etc.).

3-5 day delivery: Tier-2 / tier-3 standard. PIN serviceability checked
live at checkout.

Cash-on-delivery (COD) is available across most serviceable pin codes.
Customers may inspect the sealed box before paying the courier; if the
seal is broken or the box is wrong, decline the package — no further
obligation.

## Payment methods

UPI, debit + credit cards (all major networks), net banking, mobile
wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay), no-cost EMI on cards above ₹3,000,
COD on serviceable pin codes. EMI tenure ranges from 3 to 24 months

schedule a free home pickup, validate the device against the
questionnaire, and apply the value as credit toward any Gadget Rebirth
purchase. If our inspection lowers the quote, you can reject the offer
and we ship the device back at our cost.

## Sustainability

Every refurbished device sold on Gadget Rebirth is one less new-manufacture
device produced. We track and publish two impact figures live:

- **E-waste prevented** — kg of device + accessories that didn't enter the
  landfill stream. Calculated per category from the average mass of the
  units we shipped (roughly 0.18 kg for a phone, 1.6 kg for a laptop,
  0.4 kg for a tablet, smaller for audio).
- **CO₂ emissions avoided** — kg of CO₂ avoided vs the carbon footprint of
  manufacturing an equivalent new device. Roughly 70 kg CO₂ for a phone,
  330 kg for a laptop, 120 kg for a tablet.

These figures appear on /sustainability and update with every delivered
order. The methodology mirrors the European Environmental Bureau's 2022
report on the lifecycle carbon footprint of consumer electronics.
